A Derry rescue centre has spoken out against the online abuse it has received in recent months.
Pet FBI, based in Pennyburn Industrial Estate, was forced to close after 'pro-hunting groups' were incessantly trolling its social media pages and facility.
It comes after the centre recently recused a dog who had been subjected to a brutal mauling by a group of hunting dogs.

A spokesperson for the centre said the safety of their staff had to come first in such situations.
They added: "Unfortunately due to the ongoing harassment from pro-hunting groups and certain individuals, that we, PET FBI are experiencing, we are sorry to announce that we are closing the centre to the public until further notice.
"The safety of our volunteers is paramount and currently, they are afraid to be on the premises.
"If you are interested in any of our dogs please message the page privately and we will try and accommodate meet and greets in a neutral area.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but we have no choice at the present moment."
The post has sparked outrage among the general public, with the majority condemning the behaviour.
One person said: "Intimidation and harassment of defenceless volunteers are the actions of cowards and bullies.
"To attack a charity that exists purely to help our community shows the pro-hunting people in their true colours. They are just making more people hate hunting and hunters."
Another added: "So sad to see this, horrendous how people behave. I hope you and the furbabies all stay safe."
Meanwhile, another member called on the local authorities to stop the harassment.
They said: "You do this because of your love for animals not for financial gain.
"I just hope that the local authorities and especially the police can do something about this intimidation by thugs and bullies.
"Please do not give up the brilliant work that you do. Let’s us, the silent majority try and give you all the support that we can."
