Derrick Lewis’s fighting performance at UFC 291 was something special, needing less than a minute to earn a TKO victory against Marcos Rogerio de Lima on Saturday night.
What happened in the moments following his victory, however, is what fans will truly remember from the heavyweight bout at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City.
After the referee called the fight as a result of a stunning flying knee from Lewis at the start of the fight, the 38-year-old went rogue in his celebration, doing everything from removing his pants and waving them in the air to thrusting his hips in the direction of his downed opponent.

When it came time for his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, Lewis didn’t disappoint.
“I just wanted to throw some bulls--t and see if it landed, and it did,” said Lewis of his flying knee.
The move appeared to catch Rogerio de Lima off guard, paving the way for a barrage of head punches to help secure the TKO victory. It was the 14th knockout of Lewis’s UFC career, an all-time record.
