Former host of The X Factor, Dermot is not actually his real name. He was actually born Sean Dermot Fintan O'Leary Jr in Essex on May 24, 1973. His family come from Ireland and he has dual citizenship.

Since 2012 Dermot has been married to director Dee Koppang, who has worked on several huge shows over the course of her career. Dee has been involved in the likes of BBC drama The Split and Netflix giants The Crown and Bridgerton.
