DEREK MCINNES says Kilmarnock are working hard on bolstering their squad ahead of their Premiership return.
Since their promotion from the Championship, Alan Power, Kerr McInroy and Liam Donnelly have signed permanently for the Ayrshire side.
Zach Hemming and Lewis Mayo have also joined on loan from Middlesbrough and Rangers respectively.
Killie's competitive campaign officially got underway at the weekend with a 3-1 win over Fraserburgh in the Premier Sports Cup.
Tomorrow evening they take on Partick Thistle at Rugby Park.
While McInnes would like to be able to confirm some new signings sooner rather than later, the experienced boss admits patience is an important factor at this time of year.
He told Killie TV: "Ideally we'd like to be able to report a couple of signings soon but until these things are further down the line, we can't really comment.
"We are working hard, it can be a thankless task at times. You're in for players who you sometimes don't get, and supporters only really hear about the ones you do.
"But we're working hard to try and bring what we feel is specific to our needs to try and make us a more rounded squad for this season.
"We feel as if the signings we've made will help, players have been terrific and everyone is excited about being part of the Premiership again.
"But we also want to make sure we go and compete and do as well as we can. Bringing a few more in will help us with that."
