Denise Welch makes Tom Cruise giggle with very X-rated joke at Michael Caine's 90th

Denise Welsh made Tom Cruise hysterically laugh after telling a very X-rated joke at Michael Caine 's 90th birthday party.

The Loose Women panellist was at the birthday bash when she stood up to give a speech when she told the rude joke.

The star was filmed at the end of the table before the camera panned to Michael Caine and Tom Cruise in fits of laughter.

She spoke into a microphone as the dirty joke went down well with guests.

Denise uploaded the clip to her Instagram page where she explained that she was asked to give a speech at the event.

She also noted that Michael Caine "loves a dirty joke" as well as saying it seems that Tom does too.

Captioning the post, Denise wrote: "Such an honour to be asked by Shakira to say a few words at Sir Michael Caines’ 90th birthday!!! He loves a dirty joke and so does @tomcruise it appears!!!! Great night and amazing company @nctopsy @therivercafelondon."

Fans took to the comments of the post to say how funny they found the joke as well.

One wrote: "Omg @denise_welch this is brilliant! I love Lincoln’s comment at the end."

As a second wrote: "Casual camera pan to Michael Caine and Tom Cruise," with another saying: "Tom Cruise and Sir Michael Caine in the same room as you! This may be the best video I've ever seen."

As one joked: "Tom Cruise skipping the Oscars to watch Denise perform stand up was not on my 2023 bingo card."

"No way is that Tom Cruise & Michael Caine.... just fainted I can't imagine being at the same table as Hollywood Royalty," added a fourth.

Tom's appearance comes days after he decided to stay away from the star-studded Oscars ceremony despite Top Gun: Maverick being up for six awards, including the Best Picture Award.

It was claimed he was said to have "known" the film would miss out on the Oscar and so decided to "get on with doing what he does best".

The film ended up winning just the one award for Best Sound with Everywhere All At Once being honoured with Best Picture.
