Denise Van Outen's former partner Eddie Boxhall has shared a cryptic message after celebrating his birthday solo, following their split.
TV favourite Denise, 47, and DJ Eddie, both 47, recently ended their romance and are navigating life without one another.
And Eddie appeared to suggest that he is embracing life as a single man as he declared that there is "no more being second best" in a post shared to his Instagram Stories.
The music lover uploaded a snap of a billboard reading: "That’s the problem with putting others first; you’ve taught them you come second (and your too good to be second)."
He then typed atop of the picture: "It's time to put yourself first! No more being second."
Gogglebox star Eddie then thanked his followers that reached out to him on his 48th birthday.
"Just want to take a second to thank every single person who took the time to wish me a happy birthday. Your thoughtfulness was so heartwarming and truly made the day that much more special. Thank you, thank you! Lots of love to you all," he wrote on social media.
Last month, West End performer Denise penned a short statement confirming she and Eddie were over after seven years together.
"It saddens me to confirm that we are no longer a couple. I had to make the difficult decision not to continue our relationship," Denise wrote online.
Following news of the split, rumours have swirled that Denise ended things after discovering a series of messages to other women on Eddie's phone.
A source told The Sun: "Denise is both furiously angry and utterly heartbroken. It’s the very last thing she expected to happen after she had been so happy with Eddie.
"She thought this was for ever. But while she has been out at work he’s been sat in her home betraying her trust.”

The source said the messages were the 'last thing' Denise expected, having been happily settled with Eddie.
"She thought this was forever, but while she's been out at work he's been sat at home betraying her trust," they claimed.
Eddie is yet to speak out on the allegations.
