A Lanarkshire tower block scheduled to be torn down will be handed over to demolition experts in the new year.
The remaining tenants are expected to move out of 18-storey Jackson Court next month after an application to bulldoze the building was submitted to the council.
The move is part of a 20-year housing project involving the demolition of 48 towner blocks, with neighbouring High Coats and Dunbeth high-rises next in line to come down, the Airdrie and Coatbridge Advertiser reports.
