Democratic strategist James Carville said the party is rudderless at the moment, with many members agreeing at the moment. In an op-ed published in the New York Times on Monday, he agreed, saying the "Democratic Party is in shambles."
He went on to say that Zohran Mamdani's victory in the party's mayoral primaries in New York City wasn't an isolated event, but represented an "undeniable fissure in our political soul."
