Delroy Lindo Joins Michael B. Jordan In Supernatural Horror Thriller

The Harder They Fall

Delroy Lindo, the acclaimed actor known for his recent roles in Hulu’s Unprisoned and Netflix's The Harder They Fall, is set to return to the big screen in an upcoming supernatural horror thriller. Lindo has signed on to join Michael B. Jordan in the untitled project directed by Ryan Coogler for Warner Bros.

While details about the film are scarce and yet to be officially confirmed, insiders suggest that the story is set in the Jim Crow-era South and may involve elements of vampires and Southern supernatural traditions. Jordan is rumored to be portraying twin brothers, with Lindo's role shrouded in mystery but said to have a musical component.

The movie is scheduled to begin filming later this spring in New Orleans and has recently added Jack O'Connell to the cast as a villain. Coogler penned the script and is producing the film through his company Proximity Media, alongside Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian.

Originally revealed in January, the project sparked a competitive bidding war, with Warner Bros. securing the rights in a unique deal that will see some ownership revert to the filmmaker over time. The studio has slated a release date of March 7, 2025, with plans for an IMAX presentation.

Lindo, a seasoned actor, garnered critical acclaim for his role in 2019’s Da 5 Bloods and his appearance in The Harder They Fall. His impressive career includes notable performances in films like Get Shorty and Gone in 60 Seconds, as well as collaborations with Spike Lee on projects such as Clockers, Crooklyn, and Malcolm X.

Aside from his acting endeavors, Lindo is also working on his directorial debut with the upcoming feature Jabari's People. Currently, he is represented by IAG.
