Arsenal have confirmed their first signing of what is expected to be a busy summer transfer window with youngster Marquinhos joining from Sao Paulo.
It was revealed by football.london towards the end of last season that the Gunners had agreed a deal with the Brazilian outfit to sign the winger following extensive talks with Edu and the technical director is extremely happy to have completed the transfer.
"We’re delighted to have completed the transfer with Sao Paulo, as Marquinhos was a player we had been watching for a while. At 19, he is still very young, so he is a player for the future," Edu told the club's official website. "We look forward to Marquinhos now joining us for pre-season, making his new home, and continuing to grow and develop with us."
