Delhi: Woman jumps from Metro station building, rescued by CISF; dies in hospital

NEW DELHI: A woman rescued by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel while trying to commit suicide at Akshardham Metro Station on Thursday morning died later due to her injuries.

The 22-year-old woman, from Punjab’s Hoshiarpur, jumped off the ledge at platform number two around 7.30am, but CISF personnel, with the help of civil employees, caught her on a blanket. She was admitted to a hospital, where she died around 8.45pm.
