Delhi Police detains 70 CJP protesters, alleges 'violent' & 'unruly' conduct

The Delhi Police on Monday said that protesters from the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) turned "unruly, aggressive and violent" during their demonstration over NEET exam paper leak in the New Delhi area, accusing them of attacking police personnel, damaging public property and attempting to breach barricades despite repeated warnings and prohibitory orders. Police said 70 protesters were detained following the clashes.

"As a result, more than 118 police personnel sustained injuries, including senior officers of the ranks of Special Commissioner of Police, Joint Commissioner of Police, Additional Commissioner of Police, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police and Assistant Commissioner of Police, besides several women police personnel"
