Delhi: Man who duped scores with ‘oil firm investments’ held

NEW DELHI: Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police has arrested a man for duping more than 1,000 people on the pretext of making investment in a Russian oil company.

The accused, Ashish Malik, a resident of Kakrola, is an MBA graduate from a college in Rohtak. Joint commissioner of police (EOW), Chhaya Sharma, said the accused induced people on the pretext of giving 20% returns every month. "Malik, along with other accused, used to conduct seminars in various five-star hotels across India," she said.
