NEW DELHI: Tree felling in the capital for public projects can only be allowed as long as agencies ensure that trees are transplanted, Delhi High Court said on Friday.
Justice Najmi Waziri allowed the plea of Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to go ahead with its plan to construct a storm water drain in Dwarka to check waterlogging at IGI Airport, after it informed the court that more than 600 trees would be transplanted in the same area.
