Dele Alli sends emotional message to Tottenham fans, teammates and Mauricio Pochettino

Dele Alli has sent a message of farewell and good luck to his former club, after his deadline day move to Everton was confirmed in the early hours of Tuesday.

Frank Lampard's side have signed the 25-year-old on a permanent deal, after their capture of Donny van de Beek from Manchester United took up the final loan space from Premier League clubs.

Alli made more than 250 appearances for the Lilywhites, scoring 67 and registering 61 assists, creating a number of stand-out moments for fans. The former MK Dons midfielder came to Tottenham with bags of potential and grew into a quality player under Mauricio Pochettino.

This season, Alli has made just ten Premier League appearances and scored just the one goal, as he has struggled to find a place in the regular line-up.

The midfielder hasn't performed consistently when given the opportunity by Antonio Conte, leading to him being left out of the matchday squad in the league in Spurs' latest match against Chelsea.

It took until deadline day for the 25-year-old to make his departure, but he will now make the move north and has given his farewell message to his former club on social media.

"It's the end of a chapter but not the book," Alli posted.

"Thank you all for the messages. I've had an incredible 7 years at Tottenham and have made some life long friends that now feel like family!

"I want to wish my brothers all the best for the rest of the season and more.

"To the fans, I want to say thank you. We've had some incredible moments together that will stay with me for the rest of my life and I will never forget the amazing support you have given me.

"Playing for you was a dream come true and you will always be in my heart.

"I want to give a special mention to Mauricio [Pochettino] and his staff for their trust and guidance in the early part of my career at spurs, which gave me the confidence and platform to show what I can do.

"I love you all and wish you the best for the future! Dele out."

It is a move that has been coming but fans will always remember the impact the midfielder had during his seven years in N17 and will all be likely sending messages of good luck for his future.
