There are 30 minute delays on the M60 this afternoon following a multi-car crash.
The smash involved ‘at least four cars’, according to National Highways, who manage the country’s motorways. It happened on the anti-clockwise side of the M60, between junctions 10 and 11.
Junction 10 is for Trafford Park, while Junction 11 is for Irlam. There are around five miles of congestion after one lane of the motorway was closed, National Highways has said.

A tweet from the organization at roughly 1.20pm on Sunday (September 11) said: “One (of three) lanes closed on the M60 anti-clockwise between J11 and J10 [around the Trafford Centre] due to a collision involving at least four cars.
“Approx. five miles of slow moving traffic with congestion past J14. Please allow an extra 30 minutes on to your current journey time.”
Other motorways in the north west have seen chaos this weekend, too. The M6 was closed for ‘ten hours’, motorists reported , who said the delay was so lengthy they had to ration out water in the heat.
