Jurgen Klopp believes Liverpool’s poor season this year will make him a better manager in the future.
The German has won every major honour since taking over at Anfield in October 2015. But after challenging for an unprecedented quadruple last year, the Reds will follow up such a campaign without adding significant silverware to collection and are at real risk of failing to even qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Liverpool found themselves down in eighth heading into the latest round of Premier League fixtures, 10 points off the top four with 10 games left to play. While the Reds were in exactly the same position at the same stage two years ago, where a 10-game unbeaten run saw them recover to finish third, this year’s struggles have ultimately been a rare experience for Klopp and his side.
