Soldiers will get a battlefield advantage with new portable killer drones that crash kamikaze-like into the enemy, the defence industry minister says, as Australia looks to Ukraine to bolster its military capabilities.

The government has acquired the loitering munition Switchblade 300 for an undisclosed amount and they'll be in service from late 2024 "as a way of deterring potential aggressors".
