Hideo Kojima can rest easy knowing that Death Stranding Director’s Cut is now available on PC.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut originally came out on PS4 and PS5 last year, and naturally, PC owners of the original release felt left out. Thankfully, Kojima Productions announced plans to bring the enhanced version to PC in 2022. Low and behold, it’s finally here — strange baby creatures and all.
As with its console counterparts, Death Stranding Director’s Cut adds new locations, weapons, melee combat options, traversal methods, and even more story content. This version is touted as Hideo Kojima’s unfiltered vision because if there’s one thing that comes to mind with the original Death Stranding, it’s a creator being dialed in. Yup, totally.
The PC version of DSDC was not outsourced, but was created and sent out with love and care by the original staff at KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS.🌈🦀🐟🐋🐬☔️🌱👻🌪⏱💀👶👍🎬🚀 pic.twitter.com/jVsQgAJ5Ve

Death Stranding Director’s Cut on PC is available via Steam and the Epic Games Store for $39.99. Owners of the original release can upgrade to the Director’s Cut for only $9.99.
The PC version has all the visual enhancement you’d expect. Stuff like Xe Super Sampling (XeSS) should increase the game’s framerate to a considerable degree. Death Stranding already had a great PC port, so there was little doubt the Director’s Cut wouldn’t be similarly impressive.
