Death in Paradise's Kris Marshall returns to BBC show for new spin off series

Kris Marshall is going to reprise his Death In Paradise character for a spin-off series which will follow what happened to DI Humphrey Goodman following his return to the UK.

The 49-year-old actor played the lead role in the Caribbean-set BBC detective drama for three series between 2014 and 2017 before being replaced by Ardal O’Hanlon.

The spin-off series, titled Beyond Paradise, will explore what happens to his character after left the sunny climes of Saint Marie after he fell in love with island tourist Martha Lloyd, played by Sally Bretton.
