Defense technology company Lyntris's shares will start trading on the exchanges tomorrow, Aug. 19. Set to trade under the ticker LYNX, Lyntris has been formed by combining two much older defense businesses, Accelint and Vitesse Systems, under the ownership of PE firm Trive Capital. Trive acquired Vitesse in 2018 and Accelint in 2026. It combined them in May 2026.
Through the IPO, Lyntris is looking to raise about $492 million at a price range of $19-$22 per share by selling 24 million shares. This implies a valuation of about $2.5 billion for the company. Out of the 24 million shares to be sold, 4.878 million shares will be a primary sale, and the rest will be a secondary sale by existing shareholders. Lyntris intends to use the proceeds to repay debt and for general corporate purposes.
