There’s plenty of excitement in the air at Gillette Stadium with DeAndre Hopkins visiting with the New England Patriots.
The five-time All-Pro receiver is meeting with the Patriots organization face-to-face on Thursday to get a feel for one another and see if they can possibly agree on a deal. New England has the money and cap space to make it work, but there’s likely a limit they’d be willing to go once the meeting reaches the negotiating table.
For now, Hopkins appears to be touring the facilities and meeting up with some of his would-be teammates, if he decides to put pen to paper. While on the visit, he posed for a picture with Patriots’ star linebacker Matthew Judon and posted it to his Instagram story.

Hopkins’ friend, Adam “Pacman” Jones, said on The Pat McAfee Show that he believes the two sides will get a deal done during the visit.
Signing the veteran receiver to a deal before he hops back on a plane would obviously be ideal for a Patriots team that desperately needs a No. 1 option at receiver.
