Good morning, you Reds! Here are the latest Nottingham Forest headlines after yesterday's 1-0 victory at home to West Ham.
Nottingham Forest confirm 15th summer transfer
Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of Remo Freuler.
The 30-year-old midfielder joins from Serie A side Atalanta, where he spent six-and-a-half seasons and made 260 appearances. He becomes Forest's 15th signing of the summer following the arrivals of Emmanuel Dennis and Cheikhou Kouyaté on Saturday evening.
Forest have announced Freuler's arrival off the back of a 1-0 home win against West Ham in the Premier League, the club's first top flight victory since 1999. The mood on Trentside is already jubilant and another signing has added to a successful weekend for the Reds.
Nottingham Forest vs West Ham player ratings: Henderson brilliant as Awoniyi and Williams shine
Nottingham Forest have their first Premier League points of the season after beating West Ham 1-0 at the City Ground through Taiwo Awoniyi's goal in first half stoppage time.
Dean Henderson was excellent in goal and saved a Declan Rice penalty while West Ham also twice hit the underside of the bar.
Forest made a bright start to the game with Neco Williams and Awoniyi at the heart of their best work. O'Brien also had a tremendous in midfield both on and off the ball.
Steve Cooper appeals for people to look beyond Forest transfer narrative
Steve Cooper has urged people to look beyond the number of signings when it comes to Nottingham Forest's transfer strategy.
The Reds have made 15 signings this summer with Remo Freuler announced on Sunday night, while Forest are widely reported to be in talks with Brighton over striker Neal Maupay. Emmanuel Dennis and Cheikhou Kouyate were announced as new signings late on Saturday night but were not available to be in the squad to face West Ham as Forest won 1-0 at the City Ground.
Forest go to Everton next and Cooper hopes more signings will be confirmed before then as he asked for sceptics to examine why Forest have signed so many players after five loan signings from last season returned to their parent clubs, while other senior players moved on.
Steve Cooper dedicates win to absent Nottingham Forest fans
Steve Cooper dedicated Nottingham Forest's win over West Ham United to supporters who were unable to be at the City Ground.
Taiwo Awoniyi got the only goal and Dean Henderson saved a Declan Rice penalty as the Reds beat David Moyes' side 1-0 to pick up their first Premier League points of the season.
West Ham had a goal ruled out and twice hit the bar, while Forest also had a goal ruled out for offside. Forest boss Cooper felt his side deserved the points as he was left delighted for supporters in the stadium and those who could not get a ticket.
