Scots are asked to 'remain vigilant' after multiple suspected cases of squirrel pox have been reported.
Saving Scotland’s Red Squirrels say that within the past few weeks they have received reports of red squirrels with suspected squirrel pox virus in Johnsfield just outside Lockerbie.
They say that at least ten squirrels have been found dead in the area due to suspected squirrel pox and ask that locals in the area remain vigilant.
