Ian Evatt believes young prospect Conor Carty has 'a bit of everything' and that the Bolton Wanderers youngster's biggest asset is his finishing as he drew parallels with the finishing techniques of Robbie Fowler.
Former Wolves youngster Carty was at Molineux for some five years after joining the club from St Francis in Dublin when he was 14. He featured for the club's youth teams but never made a first team appearance.
He subsequently signed for Wanderers this summer after his release from the Premier League side. He was signed initially for the club's new B team.

Carty made his Bolton first team debut in midweek against Tranmere Rovers in the Papa Johns Trophy. He came off the bench to level the score before a penalty shootout defeat.
While not directly comparing Carty to former Liverpool and Manchester City striker Fowler, Evatt believes the 20-year-old has the type of finish and technique that the former England striker had. He was not surprised with the finish he produced against Tranmere though and he is aware of the player's ability.
He said: “I think he’s got a bit of everything, he’s physical, he’s strong, he uses his body really well, he’s quicker than he looks, he is mobile and his best and biggest asset is his finishing. He’s deadly.
“You saw that with the goals in the B team so far this season and when you give him opportunities, he usually takes them. He has that great habit of shooting early before goalkeepers are set and I think that was really on show tonight with the goal that the ball bounced, sat nicely, great confidence and technique but before the keeper can set, it’s past him and it’s in the net and that’s what he’s really good at.
“I’m not comparing him to Robbie Fowler but that type of finish where it’s a left foot clean strike that’s quick and no backlift, he’s got that technique.
“I think he’s got a bright future. He’s got a lot of attributes and the most important thing for him right now is to learn, work really hard at his game, work on his weaknesses but also work on his strengths and make them even stronger and he’s got a chance.
“I was pleased with the goal tonight, but I wasn’t surprised because he does take those kind of finishes really well.”
