Green Bay Packers first-round pick Quay Walker is trying to learn as much as he can from All-Pro teammate De’Vondre Campbell ahead of his rookie season, but Campbell can already see the talent and potential in the young linebacker.
Responding to a video from the Packers’ official Twitter account, Campbell said Walker is “already a baller” and “very smart” and believes the rookie has a “great future ahead of him.”
Here’s the tweet from Wednesday:
I try to help and give as much advice as I can even though he doesn’t really need it he already a baller 😂. Very smart Young Man with a great future ahead of him https://t.co/pBfsT5SkEc

The Packers drafted Walker with the 21st overall pick. The team hopes having two linebackers capable of being on the field together in all situations will help improve the defense overall.
Walker and Campbell are both long and athletic with the size and speed to handle all three downs and make plays against the run and pass. In Campbell, Walker has the perfect veteran to mirror.
“I watch him a whole lot,” Walker said. “I pick up off of everything.”
Walker, Campbell and the rest of the Packers will return for the start of training camp in late July. Rookies are scheduled to report on July 22.
