NEW DELHI : Delhi Commission for Women (DCW), which inspected four corporation schools on May 20-21, has said their condition was pathetic, unsafe and deeply disturbing.
DCW found the gates of the schools open without any security guard, and claimed that several groups of people high on drugs entered the premises and threatened the authorities at a school in Aruna Nagar.
At a school in Kewal Park, it found used syringes, drugs, cigarette boxes, gutkha wrappers and broken alcohol bottles and has recommended filing an FIR. DCW said most of the school buildings were also severely damaged and unsafe for children.
