It’s take three for Queen’s and DCU in the Sigerson Cup tonight after their scheduled round two clash was postponed on Tuesday night and on again on Thursday due to the recent cold snap.
Temperatures are still in the single figures, but the game is expected to go ahead with Queen’s hoping to build on last week’s brilliant victory over Belfast rivals Ulster University.
Luke Donnelly plundered 1-2 for the home side while Fintan Canavan and Diarmuid landed vital late points as Conor Deegan’s men claimed a narrow 1-12 to 1-11 win at The Dub.
Dan Higgins and captain Callum O’Hare also impressed for Queen’s last week, but they’ll be up against another team littered with county players.
DCU won the Sigerson as recently as 2020 and Galway star Rob Finnerty is their chief scoring threat while Donegal attacker Shane O’Donnell and Cavan defender Conor Brady are also expected to feature for the Dublin side.
