Cam Davis's four-year streak of reaching the rich BMW Championship is under threat as the PGA Tour's prestigious FedEx Cup playoffs get under way in Tennessee.

Davis is among three Australians in the 70-man field for this week's FedEx St Jude Championship in Memphis, where only 50 players will progress to the second round of playoffs.

Sitting in 37th position, Jason Day is assured of advancing, while Min Woo Lee currently holds down 50th spot in the standings.
