Davina McCall implores Amanda Holden to 'be careful' as she tackles elements in incredible challenge

Davina McCall has expressed her concern for Amanda Holden as she shares updates from her incredible charity challenge. The Britain's Got Talent judge is currently battling the elements in a bid to complete the Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours.

She is taking on Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis, the three highest peaks in Wales, England and Scotland which will see her climbing a huge 10,476 feet for Heart's charity Global's Make Some Noise. Amanda, who presents Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston, began her challenge with Snowdon in North Wales on Thursday (October 6).

The 51-year-old has been keeping her 1.8m Instagram followers updated on her progress, starting by sharing a video of herself starting the walk, wearing a red Heart Radio jacket, matching hat and black leggings. The TV and radio star jokingly shared a checklist of everything that she had on her - lipstick, stilettos and lashes.

"#3 Peakschallenge Snowden," Amanda typed with a green tick emoji alongside a video of her first climb. "Off to #Scarfellpike now. Her next update came when she had completed her acent and decent of Scafell Pike in the Lake District National Park in Cumbria. And it appeared to spark concern as her video showed the extent of the horrible weather she and the team were facing. "Well that was horrific," Amanda said with a crying laughing emoji.

"We made it to the top of #scarfellpike in the [poo emoji] weather ever. Necked a bag of #skittles Now in car on way to #bennevis link in bio to donate anything you can to @globals_make_some_noise." The clip showed Amanda attempting to keep dry in her red jacket with her headtorch barely able to break through the low cloud and fog.

Davina was among Amanda's celebrity pals to respond, writing: "Christ alive woman be careful." Former X Factor winner Alexandra Burke commented: "Proud of you! Keep going babe." Interior desinger and former Dragons' Den star Kelly Hoppen replied: " Unbelievable what an inspiration you are."

And fans were also cheering her on and encouraging her along the way. Amanda is completing the challenge with 'Mandy's Mountaineers', made up of people from many of the charities that Global's Make Some Noise supports. Amanda revealed on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday that she planned on 'strapping' her high heels to her rucksack.
