David Moyes has called on Michail Antonio to improve his record in front goal with the West Ham striker having scored just two goals in his last 16 Premier League games.
Antonio made a flying start to the season with four goals in his first three League games and has nine goals across all competitions, but has struggled for form in front of goal in recent weeks.
The Jamaica international has managed to steer clear of hamstring injuries this season but has not looked at his peak for some time now.
Moyes looked to add another forward in January but failed to add any new signings, leaving Antonio as West Ham’s only senior forward.
Jarrod Bowen’s run of form - with seven goals in seven games - has meant West Ham’s form hasn’t suffered too much yet but Moyes wants to get his No9 fit and firing.
"I want him to get on the goalscoring sheet regularly," said Moyes. "As a club it’s not a huge problem as we’re fourth in the Premier League as far as goals scored goes.
"Generally, any football manager would probably want the goals to be shared around because it shows you can score from different areas.
"I want to get Mich back to the levels because he’s really important. We’re just beginning to see little bits which are giving us encouragement he’s getting back and I don’t think it’ll be too long before he’s back on the scoresheet."
