David Moyes has expressed his disappointment at Everton's dismissal of Frank Lampard and the perilous position his former club finds itself in.
The West Ham boss earned a much-needed three points last weekend at the Blues' expense, which ultimately proved to be Lampard's final act at the helm.
Pressure was, too, mounting on Moyes ahead of last Saturday's showdown after both clubs headed into the game inside the bottom three. Speaking at his press conference this afternoon, the Scot dismissed the idea he felt his job was also on the line during this fixture but took no joy from the fact it was his opposite number who paid the price for a damaging defeat.

"I was really disappointed," said Moyes of Lampard's sacking. "But we've got to a situation where the games have got really tight. You can see the level of competition at the bottom end of the Premier League and how difficult it is to get victories. We narrowly lost to Wolves the week before and, thankfully, we got a decent victory against Everton last week."
Sean Dyche is now expected to take the reins at Goodison Park, calling on past experiences at Burnley in a bid to turn the tide at Everton. Asked for his opinion on whether this would represent an appropriate appointment for his former employers, Moyes remarked: "It's not for me to talk about either [Dyche and Everton] because I know them both very well. Dychey is a really good lad and did a brilliant job at Burnley. You look at his record, he had a great time with how he worked with them.
"If you're asking me about Everton, it is a brilliant club and I'm disappointed to see it broken at the moment - but it will come back together. They are moving into a new stadium, so they will want to be in the Premier League and want to show everybody what they are. It is a great club."
