The daughters of a "wonderful" man who died in Cardiff city centre have thanked the kind strangers who helped him. Bill Miller, 86, died during a medical incident on Churchill Way near Queen Street on Tuesday, October 18.
South Wales Police attended the scene to assist the ambulance service. The road was blocked for around an hour.
Kyle Silva was working nearby and ran to help Mr Miller. Speaking at the time, the 36-year-old said: “[A worker] shouted and there was a man who had fallen on the floor. I ran straight in to give him CPR. A woman called the ambulance. The first response came quickly and then the ambulance followed around 30 minutes later.”

Mr Miller's four daughters, Dee, Debbie, Bev and Dawn, now wish to thank the selfless passersby who stopped to help their father. Mr Miller is originally from the Cardiff Bay area, but has lived in Llanrumney for many years.
Dee said the family has met a few people who assisted her dad during the incident, but they have not had the chance to thank everyone who stepped in to help. On behalf of herself and her sisters, Dee said: "We, his daughters, would like to thank everyone who tried to help our wonderful dad, who tragically passed away at the scene. Everyone has been so kind and generous with their thoughts and we appreciate this so much."
