Dated and dented: cars complete tough rally for a cause

They may be a bit old and beaten up, but cars taking part in the latest Shitbox Rally have proved their metal - crossing Australia to raise money for cancer research.

Their drivers in turn proved their mettle as 240 teams took part in the 2026 rally, a seven-day, 3700km drive from Adelaide to Darwin in cars worth no more than $1500.
