Darwin Nunez has been spotted at Liverpool's AXA Training Centre as his £85million transfer edges closer to being announced.
The Reds agreed a deal with Benfica for the 22-year-old striker, paying a set fee of £64.1million (€75m) with a possible £12.8m (€15m) in appearance-related add-ons and further £8.5m (€10m) depending on team success. The player was in England on Monday to undergo the first part of his medical, with the main chunk of the procedure taking place today.
In the early hours of Monday morning, Benfica confirmed on their club website that an agreement between both clubs had been made for Nunez to take on a new challenge at Anfield. It is now a matter of time before Liverpool confirm the deal at their end, with supporters eager for images of the Uruguayan sporting the club's new home strip.

As the wait goes on for the talented forward to be announced as a new signing, an image has emerged with the soon-to-be Reds star taking a photo with his partner outside the club's new training base in Kirkby.
Nunez has agreed personal terms on a six-year contract and has every chance of becoming the Reds' most expensive signing in Liverpool's history. Although his initial fee is lower than the club record £75m spent to take Virgil van Dijk from Southampton in January 2018, the likelihood is the forward will trigger sufficient add-ons to surpass this figure.
