Danone’s £860m takeover of British protein brand Huel cleared by UK watchdog

Food and drink business Danone has secured approval from the UK competition regulator for its proposed acquisition of British protein powder and shake manufacturer Huel.

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) confirmed it cleared the merger after launching a preliminary inquiry last month to assess potential market issues.
