Danny Dyer was gifted a cheeky leaving gift from his EastEnders co-stars but his wife wasn't happy about it.
The actor, 45, was given the present after shooting his final scenes as the l egendary Mick Carter which will air on Christmas Day.
Speaking to The Sun, Danny said: "I got my Albert Square board and they bought me a sign.”
But the neon sign spells out "Shoot the c**t", which was a private joke between his pals on set.
“Basically, I would say, ‘Shall we shoot the c***?’ — meaning the scene. I know it is unpalatable but it is something I would say."
But his wife Jo Mas didn't want the sign to be hung inside their home, for obvious reasons.
“Anyway, I’ve had some issues with my wife about hanging this neon sign in the house The missus ain’t having it. It is in the office at the mo."
Danny said that he felt emotional after he parted with the soap after nine years.
“A part of me just wanted to duck out because it was emotional for me. I did a little speech. There were a lot of tears and there was a trailer of the best bits," he said.
His friend Kellie Bright, who plays his wife Linda on EastEnders organised a leaving do for him.
He said even though it would have been "easier" to have slipped out quietly, he was glad he had a "proper" send off.
The storyline around how Danny's character will leave the show has been kept quiet, but his new bride Janine will be exposed.
Fans already know that she was behind the car crash, which Linda already believes is her fault.
The Christmas Day episode will see Janine being revealed for her wrong-doings, leaving Walford shocked.
Speaking of his time on the soap, he said "not in a million years" did he think he would have spent nearly a decade playing the landlord of the Queen Vic.
He has appeared in a whopping 1150 episodes, which makes up a third of his career.

“30 years I’ve been knocking about in our industry and for nearly 10 I’ve been in this show and to make the decision I made, I didn’t make it lightly because it’s a huge job to walk away from and I thought long and hard about it and I just wanted it to be a fitting end. So hopefully it is," he said.
“What I will say about that (Christmas Day) episode is it’s definitely about love and relationships.
“We’ve done a lot of Christmas episodes over the years – we came in at Christmas. It’s an intense process and it’s tough, but when you get the right dialogue and the right material, it’s such a beautiful thing, that you’re reaching a lot of people and that’s a massive platform.”
