Danniella Westbrook says her toyboy lover 'keeps her young' ahead of 50th next year

Danniella Westbrook has said that her 'toyboy lover' keeps her feeling young, after saying that the relationship isn't physical at the moment because he's in prison.

The actor, 48, has spoken about her relationship with inmate David, 28, in recent months, and has now said that he's among a select group who help keep her youthful.

The EastEnders alum described her partner - who she is said to have known for a number of years - as "young," with her stating that he will be 30 at the same time as she is 50.

She commented recently: "Everyone has toyboys now." And discussing various people in her life, including David, she said: "I'm just living the dream. They keep me young."

During an interview with the Daily Star, she cited examples of other women with younger partners including presenter Vanessa Feltz, 60 - whose fiancé is singer Ben Ofoedu, 49.

Danniella said that her partner isn't the only person keeping her youthful though, with her stating that she's "managed by young people" and considers her children as "friends."

The mother-of-two told the outlet that she is just "having a good time" at the moment and further commented that her children keep her "edgy" and "up to date in life."

She also revealed during the recent interview that she loves keeping fit, with her keen to be in great shape for a milestone birthday that she'll reach next November.

"I do love my fitness to be honest it just keeps me alive. [...] I want to be in the best shape of my life at 50 [next year]. I want my body and my mind to be in good shape," she said.

Her remarks come after Danniella spoke to the Star recently about what it's like to be in a relationship with someone who is in prison, with her saying it's not physical.

She told the outlet that her and David had slept together prior to him being sent to jail, though she said that "there's nothing like that going on now though" due to his location.

Danniella however teased that the relationship will become physical once he's released from prison next year, saying: "There will be many sleepless nights [...] once he's out."
