Dancing On Ice viewers complain just moments into quarter final as they slam 'unfair' Props Week

Dancing On Ice fans flocked to social media to have their say as they were introduced to this week's theme. As the celebs and their professional skaters partners glided onto the ice on the ITV celeb skating contest for Props Week, viewers were dumbfounded by the variety of items.

The props included a feather boat, a surfboard, a racing flag, a drinks trolley and a double bed, which was a first for Props Week on the long-running show. @ColinBowen1 took to Twitter to ask: "What the hell, someone has a feather boa and someone else has a double bed in props week, how is that fair?"

@JMRGBY88 questioned: "Props week and someone has a double bed and someone else has a FEATHER BOA???? How are they on any level of equality?" @nancysdowden said: "I mean you can’t really compare a flag & feather bow to a full on double bed."

@5hellsbells gasped: "Wtf! 1 couple have a double bed as their prop..another a feather boa!! Totally fair!" @hannah_gomm echoed: "A double bed? A surfboard? An airport trolley? And then a feather boa - not really the same kind of prop!!"

@TheRealZoeMBE exclaimed: "I’m sorry but a feather boa compared to a double bed? what on earth?" @emmaa_w wrote: "They have a full double bed and Carly gets a feather boa? Seems unfair." And @AntMelia94 complained: "The props are already p***ing me off - a whole bed?"

But @lamo_1312 applauded: "Looking forward to @dancingonice props week tonight!" @robin101962 cheered: "#DancingOnIce Yass - props week!" And @RyanTheSoapking tweeted excitedly: "Here we go!!! It's time for my favourite week."

Former Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson and his professional skating partner Olivia Smart used the double bed as part of a romantic routine and went on to top the leaderboard, but viewers complained that they 'hardly' used the prop. The pair scored 9.5 out of 10 from judges Christopher Dean, Jayne Torvill and Oti Mabuse and a 9 from Ashley Banjo.

@gingersim7 said: "What a joke, prop week and they hardly used the bed and still got these scores." @capsule_toy asked: "What the hell... they spent too long not even using the prop bed, skating away from it and then spent too long just kneeling on it. His fall should not factor into the judging. No way it deserves that high a score."

@violetsvirtue pointed out: "They barely used the bed lmao but like. how on earth are u supposed to use a bed. on ice." @Crazier laughed: "#DancingOnIce It’s a massive double bloody bed, what’s he meant to do, swing it over his head and do cartwheels with it?"

@MapOfThe_ARMY tweeted: "#DancingOnIce a bed????? A prop is something you actively interact with on a set, NOT A PART OF THE SETS FURNISHINGS????" But @charyax94 defended: "'He barely used the bed' Blah blah blah. Again.. they do not choreograph their routine!! It’s not his fault."

@NickWestbyNew said: "How some people can slag off @NileMW for not using the bed enough, when his actual skating was STREETS ahead of the rest is beyond me." And @RyanTheSoapking said: "Nile has done more with his prop then anyone else and he had a double bed. He didn't overuse the prop which a good thing. It was a great routine."
