Oti Mabuse had to clarify one of her scores on Dancing On Ice - after accidentally overmarking Ben Foden.
The professional dancer, who also appears on BBC rival Strictly Come Dancing, is a new judge on the current series of the ITV show, taking over from John Barrowman.
Foden, a former England rugby player, was the first on the rink during Sunday’s show, performing a routine to Ricky Martin's song Livin’ la Vida Loca that featured jumps and hip-shaking.
The judging panel scored him 23 out of a possible 40 points, with Jayne Torvill praising him for the “fun” routine.
However, Mabuse initially awarded him 6.5 points but quickly admitted she had become too “excited” and pressed the button for six twice – resulting in an additional half point.
Despite Foden urging Mabuse to let him keep the half point, co-hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield said they would have to deduct it.
Foden became the first celebrity contestant eliminated.
He faced broadcaster Ria Hebden in the skate-off after failing to impress the judges and receive enough votes from the public.
The judging panel unanimously chose to save Hebden.
Asked whether he had enjoyed his time on the show, Foden said: “I really have. As I have said before, this woman (his partner Robin Johnstone) is so incredible, and it’s the people that make this experience.
“I thought there would be someone who couldn’t skate, but turns out it was me.”
Second on the ice was Connor Ball, bassist in boyband The Vamps, who skated to Paint It Black by The Rolling Stones.
He started the performance holding a bass guitar and his bandmates watched on from the audience.
His performance earned him 29 points out of 40, with judge Christopher Dean describing his routine as “jam-packed” and adding: “The song may say paint it black, but I see some gold shining through.”
Track and field Paralympian Stef Reid won an enthusiastic reaction from the studio audience after skating to Give It Up by KC and the Sunshine Band, using a specially designed prosthetic leg.
She earned 24 points out of a possible 40 from the judges.
Former Love Island contestant Liberty Poole performed to the Little Mix track Shout Out To My Ex, ending the routine by blowing a kiss to the judges and securing 26 points out of 40.
Diversity star Ashley Banjo described her relationship with her partner Joe Johnson as a “vibe” and praised her confidence on the ice.
Performing last, Regan Gascoigne, son of former England footballer Paul, secured the highest score of the series so far.
The judges awarded the singer and dancer 33 points out of a possible 40.
Mabuse said his performance was “beautiful” and that it left her “shaking” while Christopher Dean described it as “contemporary dance on ice”, adding: “I loved the simplicity of the movement.”
Happy Mondays dancer Bez made his return to the Dancing On Ice studio after finishing his period of self-isolation. He tested positive for Covid-19 the day after making his debut on the show last week.
He said: “I’ve been calling it hibernation because I have been sleeping all week. I feel absolutely fantastic. I was one of the lucky ones who had no symptoms whatsoever.”
The second group of celebrities took to the ice tonight (January 23), although former S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens was absent due to an injury sustained during training.
Six of the competition’s 12 couples skated last weekend, with Brendan Cole and Kimberly Wyatt topping the leaderboard.
The episode began with a group dance by the professionals to Higher Power by Coldplay, in which they flew through the air on harnesses.
