Dancing on Ice fans threaten to 'boycott' show as they make the same demand

Fans of ITV's Dancing on Ice have threatened to boycott the skating show as they have all been demanding the same thing.

This week was prop week and it saw Coronation Street legend Sally Dynevor make use of a pink office chair as part of her act on the ice.

In her performance, where she skated alongside professional Matt Evers, they were joined by Corrie co-star Antony Cotton as they acted out a scene from a hairdressers before they danced to You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real) by Sylvester.

It appeared that Sally spent more time on the chair rather than the ice - something which was picked up on by both the audience and the judges.

Fans of the show weren't impressed and threatened to boycott the programme due to Sally's reliance on the prop, with others demanding that Happy Monday's Bez be brought back to the show instead.

Taking to Twitter, they shared their complaints.

Mark said: "Bring back Bez, at least he skated solo....sort of. #dancingonice"

Kyle said: "Boycotting this week because Bez got booted out #doi #dancingonice"

Katie said: "She literally took three steps on her own … even Bez did more than that #dancingonice"

Judges agreed with the viewers, as skating legend Jayne Torvill scored them a 6.5 as she said: "It was a great performance Sally and you looked very confident and looked like you enjoyed it.

"But, because of the chair there was very little skating in between and I thought with the chair you could have been a bit more creative."

Ashley Banjo agreed, giving the same score, as he said: "There wasn't an awful lot of skating but what I love about it is you come back from the skate of and said you were going to have fun."

Christopher Dean added: "You used the prop... a lot. It was very limited on the skating."

He scored the contestants the lowest with just six points, as Oti Mabuse also scored them a 6.5.

Dancing On Ice airs Sundays at 6.30pm on ITV and ITV Hub
