Dancing On Ice fans 'switch off and want to be sick' after watching Torvill and Dean skate

Dancing On Ice fans felt nauseous after watching Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean's drone-filmed dance on the ITV show.

The legendary ice skaters turned judges tried to stun viewers with their unique performance filmed in one shot by a drone, but unfortunately people were just left with motion sickness after it.

The duo performed to the Beatles' Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds ahead of the results, with the gadget capturing their elegant movements overhead.

Fans felt dizzy as the camera followed them around the rink and struggled to concentrate on the skaters routine with the distraction.

Taking to Twitter, some social media users complained that they had been forced to switch off their tellies due to nausea.

One tweeted: "Ok i love Torvill and Dean to bits, but couldnt watch most of that performance cus of the weird drone shots. Felt sick and dizzy watching it #DancingOnIce."

While another commented: "#dancingonice that made me feel sick watching that drone filming."

A third wrote: "Don't know about anyone else, but that made me feel quite sea sick #DOI #DancingOnIce."

"#dancingonice Well that was a shame, couldn't watch Jayne & Chris via drone - head wrecking, motion sick!" another complained.

One added: "#DancingOnIce I'm feeling a little sick with the drone."

A fan pointed out: "I know they’re intentionally making it trippy to match the song, but the camera work during Jane Torville and Christopher Dean’s dance made me feel crazy sick. #DancingOnIce."

Soon afterwards, Ben Foden became the first contestant to be kicked out of the competition after going head-to-head with ITV presenter Ria Hebden.

The rugby player and Celebrity X Factor star was voted out by all of the judges, including Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabuse, Jayne and Chris.

Speaking to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, he praised his pro partner after three months of training for the ITV show.

He said: "I really have enjoyed it, this woman is incredible and it's the people who make this experience."

Phil said the standard was so high this year suggesting Ben might have been at a disadvantage.

He replied: "I know, I thought there’d obviously be someone who couldn’t skate, and it turns out it is me! Literally everyone was so good."
