Dancing On Ice fans have been left fuming after Kimberly Wyatt missed out on the winner's trophy tonight.
Instead, Regan Gascoigne took the crown after wowing the judges - Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo and Oti Mabuse - with a stunning Bolero routine, but some fans of the ITV skating show have branded it a fix as they felt Kimberly should have been the one to make it into the top two rather than Brendan Cole.
Kimberly ended up placing third, with her professional skating partner Mark Hanretty.
Frustrated and fuming fans of the show headed to Twitter to share their opinions on the results tonight.
"I’ve said it once. I’ll say it again. This show is a fix, from who the JUDGES want to skate in the final 2. @KimberlyKWyatt deserves to be in that final skating the boléro! #DancingOnIce," one fan wrote, as a second added: "WHAT AN ABSOLUTE FIX KIMBERLEY BEEN FAULTLESS, THE LAST TIME IM WATCHING THIS SHOW AFTER THIS SHAMBLES!! #DancingOnIce."
A third shared: " #DancingOnIce is a fix. Think Kimberly should’ve won.," with a fourth writing: "Surprise surprise #DancingOnIce a fix again #kimberly was one of the best Brendan was defo my 3rd choice."
"It's a fix Kimberly and mark are the best ones there #DancingOnIce," a fifth penned.
It is not the first fix claims the show has been faced with as three dancers made it into the final of the ITV show.
Before the show began, Regan hit back at claims he and his fellow dancers had an unfair advantage, telling The Mirror: "It's very different from dancing. It's so different. To be dancing on the floor, you have friction and you have stability.
"This is just - you don't. You're holding your core in a totally different way to how you would be dancing. Lifting people is totally different, it is a completely different skill. The ice is a completely different element."
He added: "What I would have during dancing, like I said the friction of the ground, is completely taken away. So I find there are parts of my body I'm using differently. When you do backward crossovers, you're using muscles that you don't usually use. When I'm dancing, my feet are turned out but this is quite a lot of turning in. Parts of my body I haven't really used before. It's so different."
Brendan Cole has also denied claims of a fix and says the three being pro dancers has helped them all push each other even more.
"It's been a really nice thing for all of us, we've pushed each other with our dancing abilities," he said recently, "When I see Regan and he does something really beautifully, it makes me want to be better, same with Kimberly, so I think that push between the three of us in particular has been good for us and good for the series."
