Dancing on Ice fans fume over scoring as Brendan Cole stumbles in final

Fans of Dancing on Ice were angry while watching the final show tonight.

The ITV skating show was in its final week, with one of three remaining celebrity contestants dancing away as the winner. Celebrities and their professional partners Brendan Cole and Vanessa Bauer, Kimberly Wyatt and Matt Hanretty and Regan Gascoigne and Karina Manta will all be going head to head for a final time.

Oti Mabuse, dancer Ashley Banjo and skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean were all back on the judging panel, giving their professional opinions on the performances. Their scores would help to determine a winner.

Previous contestants also returned to the ice to perform for a final time. Fans were overjoyed with the majority of the show but one thing made them mad.

When performing, finalist Brendan Cole stumbled on the ice. However, he quickly regained composure and continued to wow the judges.

He was generously awarded a score of 10 out of 10 from each of the judges - bringing his final score to a perfect 40. But viewers at home weren't impressed and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

Gina admitted she would have scored more harshly. She said: "#DancingOnIce Really 40 for Brendan!! Are the judges watching the same thing I am? Two obvious mistakes. I'd have deducted at least half a point for each mistake/stumble."

Meanwhile, Carys said: "Regan, faultless. Kim, faultless. Brendan has a stumble and they don't mark down. Good job the scores don't matter. Chris trying to blame the pros #DancingOnIce" And Brett said: "How can Brendan stumble and still get a 10? It’s the final… c’mon we expect perfection! #DancingOnIce"

Host Holly Willoughby pointed out the mistake as she addressed the judges. She said: "Chris, 10's across the board tonight - despite that little stumble?" Chris replied: "Well the little stumble happened with the other boys." Brendan added: "Yes, that's a really good point."
