Dad punches hooded man who tried to grab pram with baby son inside

A dad reacted in a flash to floor a sinister hooded man who grabbed a pram with his six-month old son inside.

Kyle Howard, 31, was walking back from his mum's house pushing baby Theo's pram when he noticed a man in dark clothing, with his hood up, walking towards them. Former soldier Kyle, from Allerton, was instantly suspicious and kept the man in his sights as he came closer on Mill Lane, Old Swan, between the junctions with Montague Road and St Oswalds Street near the Big Yellow Storage centre.

Kyle, who now manages Planet Vegan Diner on Lark Lane and Veggie Republic in Liverpool City Centre, told the ECHO: "He had been in my sights for around 10 seconds, then he said 'give me the pram'. As I went 'no' he has placed his left hand on the pram.
