A father-of-three has told of how his eyelid grew to “the size of a cherry tomato” and left him at risk of losing his eyesight after it was confirmed as cancerous.
The tumour took over his whole eye and began to weigh it shut, but he has since praised his local Specsavers team and the health service for saving his life.
Brett Exton, 55, who lives in the UK, noticed a small lump on his right eyelid just before flying over to Mexico for a family holiday in August last year.
