Sitting underneath Renault's corporate umbrella, Dacia has blossomed in the last couple of decades. The Romanian volume brand had an excellent 2022 in Europe where it managed to outsell Opel/Vauxhall, Fiat, Citroën, Nissan, and SEAT, according to sales figures published by JATO. It finished the year in the 12^th position, moving up to the 10^th spot in the first half of 2023 when it edged past Kia and was right behind Ford.
