Cremonese striker Cyriel Dessers appears on the brink of joining Rangers with an agreement between the two clubs "imminent."
Michael Beale has been in the market for a new striker having already made five signings this summer. Brighton winger Abdallah Sima became the latest while Atalanta's Sam Lammers also arrives in a new-look Ibrox attack. Dessers appeared to be the next target and reports this week suggested talks were "well advanced" between Rangers and Cremonese.
And now Fabrizio Romano claims an "agreement is now imminent" for the Nigerian. It's claimed the clubs have agreed on a fee, suggesting it will either be a permanent move or a loan with an option to make it permanent, with an announcement expected in the days ahead. Dessers scored ten goals in 32 appearances despite Cremonese's relegation from Serie A last season and it's hoped the 28-year-old will be able to bring that goalscoring form with him to Glasgow.
