Cyriel Dessers is set to sign a four year contract at Rangers with the Cremonese striker booked in for a medical to complete his move to Ibrox.
The 28-year-old Nigeria international has agreed the switch with the Light Blues stumping up just over £4 million to land the frontman, according to a report in Belgium where he played for Genk before moving to Italy. He will become the sixth summer arrival under Michael Beale who has already signed Jack Butland, Kieran Dowell, Sam Lammers, Dujon Sterling and Abdallah Sima.
Beale admitted at the weekend that he still wanted up to three more arrivals to bolster his squad for their Scottish Premiership title challenge and quest to reach the Champions League group stage. And Dessers looks like being the first of those with his long term contract commitment. They also remain in the hunt for Jonathan Panzo, Jose Cifuentes and Danilo.
