A cyclist has died after being struck by a train at Ascot Park in Adelaide's south on Tuesday afternoon.
SA Police said emergency services were called to the collision near Railway Terrace and Sixth Avenue just after 3pm.
A man from Adelaide, 41, died at the scene.
The Seaford and Flinders lines were closed for several hours while crews worked at the scene.
Both train lines have since reopened.
Major Crash officers were investigating the collision and asked anyone with information to come forward.
There have been a number of incidents involving pedestrians and trains in recent months.
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train at East Grange Railway Station in Adelaide's west in March.
In February, an 11-year-old boy was hit by a train at Tambelin Railway Station at Evanston Gardens in the city's north.
